Ukraine has completed its accession to the Advisory Centre on WTO Law (the ACWL), a Geneva-based intergovernmental organization, that provides advice and training on WTO law and support in WTO dispute settlement proceedings to developing and least-developed countries.

Earlier this year the Ukrainian Parliament has ratified the Protocol of Accession to the Agreement Establishing the ACWL that took effect on August 28, 2021.

As an ACWL member, Ukraine is entitled to free legal advice on all procedural and substantive issues of WTO law, support in all stages of the WTO dispute settlement proceedings at discounted rates, and trainings in WTO laws and procedures.

The ACWL provides its services to the country members based on the requests of officials authorized to act on behalf of such countries in matters relating to the WTO, meaning Ukraine’s requests for the ACWL support will be handled by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
